REGISTRATION AS TRAINEES

INVITATION FOR THE REGISTRATION OF TRAINEES LEADING TO ICVP BOARD CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION

Applications are invited from Veterinary Pathologists / Postgraduate students of Veterinary Pathology for registration as trainees (one year/three year training) for fulfilling the requirement of the ICVP Board Certification Examination.

The following general prerequisites must be met to the satisfaction of the College before any candidate is eligible to undertake certification examination in Veterinary Pathology.

  1. The candidate should be a Graduate in Veterinary Sciences and registered with the Veterinary Council of India.
  2. Has maintained a membership status, as Life Member of IAVP, by virtue of specialization (Master or Ph.D.) in the subject of Veterinary Pathology, required at the time of application for examination.
  3. Has completed at least three calendar years of supervised training after Master in Veterinary Pathology that is acceptable to the College. Normally, the acceptable supervised training is under the supervision & direction of Diplomate of the Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists as given in the application. The training may be conducted simultaneously with M.V.Sc or Ph. D. degree program in Veterinary Pathology.
  4. Alternatively, the candidate must have ‘Three years’ full time exposure/experience in Veterinary Pathology (after acquiring post-graduate qualification), including a minimum period of one calendar year of training under the supervision of a Diplomate of the Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists.

   Note:   Beginning 2021 ICVP Board Certification Examination usually conducted in the 2nd weekend of September, the training requirement is a must.
