ICVP Board Certification Examination - 2019
The Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists was established at Izatnagar in 2008 by the Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists for optional accreditation of veterinary pathologists practicing in India. The College admits members through an examination system which identifies veterinary pathologists with sufficient competence as per the standards and guidelines set by the college. Successful candidates will be awarded as Diplomate of the ICVP and will be eligible for membership status of the college through the application with an appropriate fee.
The examination is conducted once every year, usually in September on the second Saturday and the following Sunday at a pre-announced venue. This year the examination has been scheduled on September 14-15, 2019 at Department of Veterinary Pathology, Dr. G.C. Negi College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, H.P. Agricultural University, Palampur (H.P).
The membership examination is normally restricted to registered veterinarians practicing in India and who are trained/ recommended by a Diplomate or a Charter Member of the College. The training period is three years but relaxation in training period is allowed for sufficiently experienced pathologists. Kindly visit the college website www.icvp.in for detailed guidelines including the eligibility criteria, syllabus, examination format, fee structure, etc. At present (until 2019), members of the Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists (IAVP) who have five years of experience with Ph.D in Pathology are eligible to appear for the examination without mandatory training.
The Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists invites application in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for the above examination which can be downloaded from the website.
The complete application as per guidelines of ICVP along with an examination fee of Rs 8,000/- should be sent to Secretary ICVP, Dr. Amarjit Singh, Professor, Department of Veterinary Pathology, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana - 141004 by speed-post dispatched on or before 15th April, 2019.
